How do I?

Arrange a home visit:
The duty doctor will see you at your home if you are too ill to come to the surgery. If at all possible, try to ring between 8.30 and 10.30am, as this helps us to plan the rounds and also please ensure that your house is clearly numbered. When you telephone for a visit, the receptionist may ask you for a few details. Our reception team have been trained to make these enquiries so that we can help you in the most appropriate way.
Please remember that seeing you at home takes on average four times as long as seeing you in the surgery, so please help us by keeping home visits to a minimum. Babies and small children can often be brought to the surgery and we will do our best to ensure that they are slotted in and seen promptly.

If you need a home visit please phone early 01395 224555

Make an Appointment:
Please make an appointment at the Practice by contacting our appointments desk personally or by telephone.  Routine appointments are booked at 10 minute intervals.

Telephone consultations are also available with any doctor.  If you wish to speak to a doctor please ring the surgery for an appointment.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please telephone to cancel as soon as possible.

Find My Test Results:
For results of blood tests, x-rays etc, please telephone during the afternoon, as they have to be checked first by your Doctor.  For reasons of confidentiality results can only be given to patients themselves, or to parents of children.

Please wait at least one week before telephoning for any results.

Get a Sick Note:
You won't need a sick note from a Doctor unless you have been absent from work for more than 7 days.  For the first 7 days you can self certify. A form can be obtained from Reception. This should be completed and handed to your employer. After one week you can obtain a sick note from your doctor.
