Covid Vaccination Update
This week have been a busy time for our Imperial team as our efforts to vaccinate all the over 80s population continued. In addition to this, our Practice Vaccination Teams are working quickly to get into each Care Home across the region to get the first dose to every resident as soon as possible.
This monumental project is a collaboration across 10 Practices in East Devon:
- Claremont Medical Practice
- Raleigh Surgery
- Haldon House Surgery
- Imperial Medical Practice
- Rolle Medical Partnership
- Budleigh Salterton Medical Centre
- Woodbury Surgery
- Coleridge Medical Centre
- Honiton Surgery
- Sid Valley Medical Practice
We continue to have regular deliveries of vaccines and will be working hard to get through all our patients following the priority groups set out by the government. We will be in touch with you when it is your turn - you do not need to call the Practice.
We are aware that many patients have also received invitations from the NHS England Mass Vaccination Program. This is a great step towards offering more people access to the vaccination. If you, a friend, relative or neighbour gets one of these letters, you can now opt to receive your vaccination via one of these sites (currently the most local one to us is Taunton Racecourse), if you wish.
However, this DOES NOT mean that your Practice has crossed you off their list. You WILL definitely still be invited to the local Covid Vaccination clinic at Exmouth Tennis Centre when your turn arises. In this way, you now have two options when deciding how to get your vaccination.
We understand that this letter has caused some confusion and would like to apologise for this on behalf of the NHS.
We will be continuing these updates over the weeks to come to make sure that our community is aware of the brilliant progress we are making in the Covid Vaccination Program.
Together - we are going to beat Covid!
Stay safe. Stay well. Stay Positive!
