Home Visits

If you feel a home visit is needed, please telephone the surgery by 10.30am. Be sure to leave a contact telephone number in case the doctor needs to clarify the problem or confirm a time.

Doctors’ time for home visits is very limited, so please attend the surgery whenever possible. There are better diagnostic and treatment facilities at the surgery.

Anyone who is unwell will be seen promptly at the surgery.

If a child has a fever, they will generally benefit for coming out into the cooler air to attend the surgery.

Enhanced Access Appointments

We are pleased to be able to offer our patients enhanced access by appointment for those who find it difficult to attend normal surgery times due to other commitments.

We are part of a Primary Care Network (PCN) who are working with other Primary Care Networks in East Devon and we take it in turns to offer enhanced access appointments and offer patients from any Practice (within the area) appointments in the evenings and on Saturdays.

To book an appointment, please call the Surgery or pop in to reception during our normal opening hours. To provide greater flexibility to patients, you may be booked in for an appointment at any of the Practice within the East Devon area.

Please note: These clinics are for pre booked appointments only (although we may also have some available same day, subject to capacity). If you do not have an appointment please visit the surgery during our normal opening hours, as above.

We can offer times between 7.30-8am, and 6.30-8pm Monday to Friday, and Saturdays between 9.00am-5.00pm.

A mix of services will be available within these additional hours with access to a range of health professionals and there will be a choice of ways to access appointments, such as telephone, online consultation or face to face.

This should provide greater flexibility for patients, and expand access to routine and same-day GP appointments.
